This spring, we’ve added a new adventure to our list of Mini Muse memories — Ace’s very first garden. And not just any garden — a balcony garden, high above the street, where sunshine, soil, and smiles came together in the most beautiful way.

Watching Ace step into his new role as a little farmer was pure joy. From scooping soil with careful hands to gently placing seedlings into their new homes, every moment was filled with purpose and pride. Even taking the plastic off the planter pieces felt important to him — because when it’s your garden, every step matters.
Dressed in his denim overalls and sandals, Ace got to work like a pro. Mom, Dad, and Ace talked about roots and sunlight, about watering and patience. And, of course, they got our hands dirty — the very best kind of learning.
“Helping things grow” might just be the most magical feeling in the world — and seeing it through Ace’s eyes reminded me how powerful those first moments of care and curiosity can be.
His excitement only grew as the garden box filled up. Tiny labels marked the spots for basil, peas, beans, thyme, and more. And when he finally stepped back to look at what he’d made — that grin said it all.

This is more than a planting project. It’s a memory, a lesson, a start. A reminder that growth doesn’t always need acres — sometimes, all it takes is a small space, a handful of dirt, and a whole lot of love.
