Ace’s socks are officially finished — and he is exactly as pleased as I had hoped. 💙 His smile says it all, even through a screen.

A smiling black child wearing a red and green jacket beams joyfully during a FaceTime call. The screen shows a small preview window of the caller, displaying a close-up of the finished pair of hand-knit socks. The sunlight from the window behind the child creates a warm, backlit glow..
The moment he saw them. 🥹 Knitting may be analog, but joy like this? It travels through any screen

While Canada Post is experiencing some job action, they’re not fully on strike, so I’m sending them off along with a bottle of Soak wash. A little extra care ensures these socks have the longevity they deserve — especially with all the adventures Ace gets up to. Well.ca has a sale on at the mo … good time to stock up on the best wool/handwash laundry care I have used! If you love it, Soak™ it!

A pair of small, hand-knit socks in variegated shades of blue, black, and white are propped up against a teal case on a laptop keyboard. The background screen shows a paused video or webpage with vibrant red and blue hues, creating a cozy but tech-savvy workspace vibe.
The pair is complete! ✨ Mini socks, maximum joy — knit with love and mailed with a smile.

Once his package arrives (Ace loves getting mail!), and we’ve confirmed the fit, I’ll be casting on more wee toe warmers for my Mini Muse. There’s something deeply satisfying about knitting for those little feet — each stitch feels like a hug that travels 3,000 km. Having such an appreciative recipient that I know will wear and love wearing the results of my labours of love is a special joy in itself.
