A vibrant, hand-knitted chevron fabric featuring a repeating zigzag pattern. The chevrons move upward in sharply angled rows, with each stripe blending smoothly into the next through a radiant rainbow spectrum. Starting from deep purples and blues at the bottom, the colors transition through magenta, hot pink, red, orange, yellow, and into teal and green near the top. The texture of the stitches is clearly visible, adding dimension and a tactile quality to the fabric. The yarn appears to be hand-dyed, creating rich gradients and tonal depth throughout the piece.

Maxing Out the Sweet Spot

I am surrounded by Sweet Spot strips!

I’ve gathered every last skein of variegated Patons Classic Wool from my stash and decided to go big — extending my strips from 470 rows to 600 rows each. If there’s still yarn left after that, I’ll keep going until I’ve squeezed out every possible inch.

I don’t yet know who this blanket will belong to — maybe me, maybe a loved one — but I do know it’s being knit from vintage stash, infused with enduring love, and destined to be truly irreplaceable.
